I couldn’t stand the flaring either! I tied a shoelace into the underside to keep it tight and it was like night and day. Instantly became my all time favorite saddle.

I would have punched holes and laced the sides in, myself. But, whatever makes you comfy.

you effectively made a different saddle brooks sells. the name escapes me, but they sell a saddle without the sides.

Did it to mine years ago. No problems. No leg chafing anymore. Didnt ruin the saddle. Looks better. No complaint.
