I’ve just built up mine and I noticed that in what appears to be the correct adapter setting the 160mm disc rotor I have my wheels doesn’t reach the calliper.

I’m assuming I could just run a 180mm rotor and it would solve the problem – but isn’t the Mog fork spec’d to run a 160?

Alternatively should I just flip the mounting plate and run it in the position for the 140mm rotor? That would just a huge pain because I can’t just pull more hose down from the fork without messing with the internal routing.

  1. Product page for mog lists it as F: 160/180. This is +20 over ‘standard shimano’ F140/160. You are correct in your assumptions and can choose to go either way.

Stock is a 160. That adapter has you at 180, as you noted.

Either run a 180 or get a different adapter.

Those are your 2 options, yup, bigger rotor or flip the adapter. While people usually think of the adapter/mounting plate as a 140/160, in actuality it’s just a 0/+20 adapter. So if the fork is natively made for 160 rotors, the adapter becomes a 160/180.

You have the adapter set for 180 rotors. You can either buy a 180 rotor or just flip the adaptor around.

Looks like you’re almost missing the rotor LOL
Just get a 180 mm and you should be good

  6. Flatmrount adapter is upsidedown. You had it set for 180mm rotor. Flip the adapter and you will get it set for 160mm rotor.
