I'm having issues with the connection on my seat post. The plastic sleeve slides up and out of the metal part. I'd also like to keep it higher on the seat post so I can mount my fender back on the bike. Does anybody know of a way to fix those issues? Maybe some part that's available on the Internet?

Either you’re doing something wrong or that is incredibly poorly designed.
I’d recommend double checking the installation instructions and seeing if you missed something or put something in backwards.
If that doesn’t work, you can probably solve both problems with a lock collar from Amazon or a hardware store. Just make sure it fits you seat post very well.

The shim is installed upside down.
The lip of the shim should be on the bottom, as this then uses the natural gravity and weight to push down on the lip.
Another is that looks like a third party shim. All the official Wehoo shims I have from buying the trailer and buying additional accessories were all black.
