Your bike, overall, is fine. You will need a new rear derailleur and hanger though.

  2. Rear derailleur is toast. A new one will get your bike functioning. If you’re only learning here, then go see your local bike mechanic.

From here looks like a simple derailleur hanger issue, but I might be wrong. In any case it’s a very localized issue, no worries. The lesson here is to try and change gear before it gets steep, so you don’t do it while applying force. Lighter feet on the pedal during gear changes is a must for cheaper kits

Hey! Bike isnt broken beyond repair, but definitely needs service. I’m guessing your lower limit was too low, and when you shifted to a lower gear, your derailleur got pulled into the spokes. You will definitely need a new hanger; I’m not sure about the status of the derailleur itself, though I’m guessing the cage is bent up.

Definitely fixable, just take it to a reputable mechanic and they’ll get you fixed right up!

at the absolute bear minimum, you’ll need to recalibrate your derailleur if you don’t have friction shifters.

Appears you might have sheared a hanger bolt or something, but the pic is at a poor angle and it’s impossible to tell.

  6. How did that happen ?

Well it’s time for a new derailleur, they are designed to be the weak point so you don’t break the frame and try at looks like a cheap low end one so it’s quite cheap to get a replacement for them
