Steve Jones and James Pickering head to the historic city of Genoa, Italy, to see if Giant’s latest trail bike can handle some of the Mediterranean’s punchiest climbs and technical descents. With the 2026 Stance E+ now boasting a massive 100Nm of torque and increased 140/150mm suspension travel, they push the limits from the city streets to the high-altitude Diamond Fort. Join the duo for a mix of technical masterclasses, local history, and a true test of whether you really need to break the bank to have an epic day on two wheels.

With 100Nm of torque and 150mm of travel, is the new Stance E+ starting to blur the lines between low-cost and high-performance trail bikes? Let us know your thoughts in the comments! 👇
I have 2022 stance e+ and have been looking for something with a bit more travel and as I love my stance it just be a newer one.
Come on Steve give your age not your weight.
Hy James and Steve! What a video! Glorious! You know what? I don't remember being blown away by two, so different, emtb's in the space of a single day. First off, never ever entertained the fact of attaining a more basic emtb, let alone an aluminum one but, this Giant Stance E+ model year 2026 ticks a LOT of boxes and the first one is that it's a beautiful bike! Second, bosch territory power, with 100Nm and 800 Watts peak power, Third, choice of batteries up to 800 watt/hr…Simple, reliable, beautiful, attainable. I'm definitely a bit humbled by how dumb I now feel about my preconceptions…This is a valiant effort from Giant, one I applaud.
The second one is the emtb that is going to have me pinning until I "concoct a way to get my hands on one"…I've been trying to think of a way to have a proper enduro Avinox bike and today Mondraker comes out of the box swinging with the new Zendit…Simply gorgeous, that green frame, so thin and knowing the brand well, I pretty much guaranty those 165mm of rear travel are gonna feel like 180mm. I finally put the two last upgrades on my bosch Cx5 Cannondale Moterra LT1: top of the line TRP rotors, lighter and more efficient paired with Galfer Pro pads which feel amazing, finally and…I already fall in love twice in one day…I'm pretty much screwed folks! Lol!
All the best from Coimbra, Portugal!
I thoroughly enjoyed watching that 😊
Wonderful tour! I am jealous 😉
6:22 those loud bells tied around those goats necks must be driving them mental 😫
Seems giant have come a long way since their early ebikes. I had nothing but issues with my 2016 Full E+1 model. Seems they have ironed out the problens now.
Still, I'd recommend a Whyte over giant.
Great video , need more like this .. come to Asturius
Ein wunderbares Video macht damit immer so weiter.
Outstanding location, outstanding eMTB experience and an outstanding eMTB.
Look like great bikes. Great vid lads.
140/150 is plenty enough travel for those trails , people seem to have forgotten line choice is a thing , you wouldn't ride those same trails with the same line choice on a hard tail never mind a 180/200 bike.
It seems like riding a bike properly is becoming a lost art and people are too reliant on the bikes features now.
Genoa looks absolutely beautiful and amazing!
Even better going through it on e mountain bikes. 😎
I love my Trance E+2. All the aspects you highlight on the Stance. My main complaint is I purchased the Giant light for night riding. But you can only turn it off in the app. Not whilst riding. Horse riders hate it. It is actually unsafe if you ride UK bridleways.
Great video; good mix of bike review, technical and travelogue
Great to see reviews of mid price out of the box ready to go bikes
I’m on my second emtb and always thinking about my next upgrade – Amflow in mind
Lots of easily accessible great European destinations which should be looked at for future videos, great for making plans while the rain and hail is still falling at home, great work channel going from strength to strength!!
We are yet to see a manufacturer that allows battery pack repair or upgrade…
When that day comes I will switch my old rebuke for that. Until then just a few extra NM does not change the world
Love giant emtb’s, my giant dirt-e+0 2017 is still going strong, only issue in 9 years, a dropper seat post failure, replaced under warranty, so reliable.
My motor cuts out if submerged for any length of time.
Only comes back to life when dried out for an hour or 2!
Great Job Giant, well done some lovely features nicely set up for UK weather also, love a removable battery and when the bike sector is struggling and companies are releasing entry e-bike for around double this piece up to £10k plus they have done a great job at pricing these bikes 👏👏👏
You should come to Domodossola or Verbania!
Weight?
Great vid. Great place. Great riders. Cant go wrong. I bought my Canyon Nueron On AL8 for a similar price last October. So far its been great with no problems.
Is there a GPX file of the ride?
I research stuff to death, and researching an ebike was no different. Giant has proven to me that they have the best bang for your buck. I ride a Giant Reign e+3 and it is an absolutely phenomenal bike for the price.
My 1st eMTB experience was August 2025 on a hired Trance E+1. I would have bought one this year but got a really cheap deal on a Whyte e160rs. I would be happy on either.
These eMTB's are just amazing. We are very are very blessed to machines like these.
