Cycling is a common way to get around Hamburg and it is a nice place to cycle around. The cycle path leading up the Elbe to the coast is, if you have the time and energy, strongly recommended. In the city itself the cycling infrastructure has become significantly better and getting around by bike (Please don’t rain ☔️) is quite relaxed and comfortable when compared to other large cities.
