Hey all,
I just received and assembled a new Canyon Endurace CF 7 Di2 today and noticed something on the carbon front derailleur mount area that I’m unsure about.
There’s some visible discoloration / white-ish marking around the carbon tab where the front derailleur attaches (see photos). I don’t see a clear crack line, but the area looks a bit scuffed or stressed compared to the surrounding frame.
The bike assembled fine and I did a very short, easy test ride with no issues, but I haven’t put it under any real load yet.
Before I ride it more, I wanted to check:
– Has anyone seen similar marks in this area on a Canyon (or other carbon frames)?
– Does this look like normal cosmetic/clear coat/resin scuffing, or something more concerning?
I’ve already reached out to Canyon support as well, but figured I’d ask here in case others have had the same thing.
Appreciate any input!

Have you tried to wipe it off with a rag? Maybe it’s just carbon paste.

Checked mine and your hanger is not as clean. Hard to say if that means an integrity issue. More like the new guy had some work slip by QA
either some assembly paste or some overspray of primer that is sprayed on before the color and clearcoat get on. but most likely assembly paste, should wipe off easil.
