I’ve had this bike for just over a year since getting it from a trade on marketplace. The whole bike is in really solid condition, but I noticed the tires are developing small cracks along the tread.
Tires are something I know very little about so maybe this is normal, but I’m curious if this needs immediate replacement. I have my yearly service scheduled next month at a local shop which gives me enough time to order some if needed.
Thanks in advance

They are fine. lightly used and a little dried out but not an issue in my opinion
Get new tires. You can still buy 4000s but yours look like they were bought before everyone switched to the 5000s 6 years ago.
Yes and no. These are older tires, and they are showing their age. The rubber is drying out, and they’re going to be less grippy than before, but I don’t think they’re at the point of being dangerous just yet. You could probably keep riding them for a bit longer, but you ought to be shopping for new tires. Personally I would replace them.
Yes
Me personally as a former mechanic (primarily heavy machinery but also for a short time on bikes), I’d be replacing them. It’s very possible that you could run them for some time without major issues, but when rubber dry rots like this they can be more prone to punctures and you do technically lose out on at least some traction.
Since the tires are what separate you and the bike from the ground, it’s worth a bit of investment for a new set IMO.
