my partner had to have a tooth X-ray at Macclesfield hospital in the morning so we took the train there and then took a very long way home over the peak district. it was VERY windy on the tops of the hills leading to some sideways riding and then a couple of hills later we had a full on sideways hailstorm followed by snow, rain and then sunshine. this blew through and we dropped down off the tops to find a cafe with a wood burning stove to dry out and warm up. it was a 90km 56mile ride with 1600m 5200 ft elevation.

with the hospital visit and train ride we were out for 9.5 hours and about 5.5 hours of riding!
