On advice from this forum I put a K edge catcher on my bike. I got it rebuilt after a crash, but both before and after I’ve had problems where the chain has somehow slipped under the catcher and then I have to unscrew it to get the chain back on. Have I just installed it incorrectly?? Pics of my poor mangled BB area from chain drops for sympathy

It looks installed correctly to me.
Make sure it’s very close to the chain when on the small ring, and secure both screws.
