I'm 50 years and 6'4" 220lbs. Got my first bike(bmx) when I was like 12 years, but it was stolen before I learned any tricks.. Last year i got myself a present a GT pro performer heritage 29(I have put on a 10" bar)and I love it. Riding it gives me so much pleasure and joy it's hard to describe. I'm working on the wheelies. And this year I bought a used Stranger Creeper 29" that needed som TLC, just finish putting it together. Now I'm waiting for the spring and warmer weather. So I've been watching videos on youtube witch have made me thinking about getting a real bmx. I found this one, a Stolen spade 22", anyone got any experience with this one? Put on a higer bar. Is the frame and parts good? Or should I go for a different brand? New in the game so any tips will be much appreciated!

  1. You are a taller/bigger guy; also “a little” older – so the 22″ could be the right choice (probably)!

  2. Sure.

But if you want to do tricks, a 20″ wheel is hilariously more responsive.

I bought a 22 and 24 when I got back into riding, before accepting the fact that I like spins and freestyle stuff.

Been riding a 20 religiously since then.

    Edit – 6’5″ here. Riding a 20 with 21 tt.

Love my 22. I wish I had it when I was 18, I pretty much only ride dirt though.
