Bike choice

Hello!

I am buying new bike. I am going to ride on asphalt roads mostly and my plan is to go bikepacking in close future I hope! 😀

In my budget there are 2 bikes:

Cube Nuroad SLX 2026

and

Trek Checkpoint ALR 5 2026

Wonder does anyone have experience with them and do they have nice potential for bags? Should I stay with 1x drivetrain or go 2x?

I know people bikepack on everything but I am buying new ride so I want choose best bang for buck 🙂
