Regan, thanks again for inviting me (Kevin) to participate in this video. I had a blast chatting with you guys! A couple of things I realized after watching this back: -I did "two of everything" in 2022, not 2021 -I failed to mention some names…..The RBA of Davis Bike Club, who hosted my first 600k and introduced me to Charly Miller, is RUSA legend Deb Banks -The other Charly Miller riders I was riding with was Bryan Kilgore and Max Poletto
Hi Regan – nice to hear the experiences from the pointy end of PBP. I'd be keen to know more about the custom Garmin field that Kevin @randomrando6438 mentions in the interview where it shows him Time in Hand (i.e. 2 hours or -2 hours). I do use a Data Field (from Connect IQ) called Absolute Average Speed by LifeinCycling but that's different and shows Overall Average (including stops). Many thanks!
I remember reading somewhere that there's a thought that the runny nose issues are related to not being hydrated enough, or a particular electrolyte is missing, at an imbalance. Haven't had a chance to test this, do some research on the trainer over winter maybe.
Really interesting interview. A lot to learn from the insights of these two experienced riders. Not just for aspiring PBP participants, but for randonneurs or ultra racing in general.

Regan, interesting video. I watched a bunch of your vids when I was prepping for PBP. You should interview some fast Canadians…… 😀
