I finally got ny new wheelset and tires today and I just realized that I forgot to measure whether I have enough clearance for my frame. The frame is a ICAN A22 and is rated at 28mm for some tires but I have the GP5000 ASTR.

I took some images but I'm not too sure if this is enough clearance, also I pumped it up to 88PSI to check, and the tire measured up to 29mm wide at most and also spun fine so should I be okay or should I go down to 25mm tires?

Its a little close on the sides, but I’d ride it. To my unprofessional eye the vertical clearance looks like enough.

  2. Probably ok if your wheel is true. Check for any rub marks after each of the next few rides.

Looks okay. Think the first Pic is just the angle. I would still put 3M protective tape on the frame by the tire areas in case of debris and wax it.

if it’s rated 28mm and you are 29mm, that’s 0.5mm either side so based on that it’s yes. but looking at the first pic you don’t have much wiggle room. keep a close eye on the gap, no room for if the wheel goes out of true.

Yes, and a plus for a beautiful bike! I also noticed the EliteWheels!

    Edit: ICAN Triaero frame?
