Found this beauty on marketplace for 400$ US. Im not too familiar with Fuji bikes so I can’t really pinpoint the year of the bike, but judging by the lack of disc brakes, im guessing she’s a little old. He just said it’s a Fuji touring bike.
Seller did mention it had a “tune up”, along with new front derailleur and bar tape.
What do you guys think? Is this worth it at the price?

Decent bike if you’re on the taller side. Man, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a wooden roll up door like that before!
I like older bikes, and I would pass on this at that price.
A few things to consider. This isn’t a classic with amazing tubing. It might be marketed as a touring bike, and obviously can be a touring bike, but it doesn’t have a particularly long wheelbase. Long wheelbase can give you a nice “plush” ride on longer touring days. Also a long wheelbase will prevent your heel from hitting pannier bags.
If it is your first touring bike and you want to take the plunge on this one, I would only pay $200 USD. At that price you can learn what you want in your next touring bike, but still have something to use and experiment was the now.
That’s my take on it.
