Rode my bike to Düsseldorf from Tilburg (150km) over a nice mixed route. I went there to visit the expo. Boy o boy, so much bike candy it was really incredible.

Many small and pleasend booths booths. The Seka gravel racer, Canyon ATR Grail and Pilot Cycles x ENVE built stood out most to me. The 32” hype hasn’t really struck me yet, I rode one at an expo a while ago, I’m just not looking to add anything to my to large bikepack 🤣

Ok, back to the title. I packed for a night in Düsseldorf, but can I still post a set like this in bikepacking? I feel much more bikepacker than tourer or gravel racer. Bikes are the way to go ❤️✅

If you consider driving your RAV4 to the farm market the same as doing Dakar then yes, I guess it could be what you describe.

I was flamed and negged previously for pointing out that the definition of bikepacking seems to have changed over the years.

So in the spirit of this sub:

A 1 day ride to Tilburg is ‘bikepacking’!

Taking your rolling luggage from the airport to the hotel is ‘backpacking’!

Credit card touring on the road from hotel to hotel is ‘bikepacking’!

Riding to the grocery store and loading up your panniers and riding home clearly puts the ‘packing’ in ‘bikepacking’!

Boxing up your bike for shipping after you sell it is the purest form of ‘bikepacking’!
