Spring is behind the corner, so I went out into mountains here at the north of Czechia to enjoy calm solo ride on a sunny Friday afternoon.

  1. Hey, Dom! Love these videos. Keep up the great work.

I’m also a new cyclist so watching your videos have been inspiring and can’t wait to begin my cycling adventures this year.

Would you be able to do a gear review (bike, clothes, electronics, etc)? Being from Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 – Van Rysel gear seems to be quite affordable and curious to hear your thoughts.

    Cheers,
    Ron

  2. Hello Dom,
I do not comment often and i'm not a pro cyclist but after seing you pedaling out of the pedals at 7:13, I think that you should straighten up to really put your weight on the pedals. I assure you with the right technique it makes the climbs a bit easier. Tell me if I'm wrong, it's just that I had the impression that you had an arched back and that you were not super confortable.

  3. Hi Dom. Love all the videos. Inspired by your indoor setup and look forward to the outdoor rides. Would be great to see a video on how you film the rides, including use of drones. Keep up the good work. 👍

  4. Hello, Dom! I wanted to ask you something regarding the bike position. After months of sitting on my indoor trainer because of the horrible winter, I finally got out of the house and had a couple of rides outside. The only problem is, I encountered severe upper-back and neck pain, mostly after I hit the 50k mark. On my indoor trainer I had no issues. Did this also happen to you? Did you find a way to solve it? Thanks.

I had a bike fit done but no results.

  5. I lived in Brno for a few months and there are definitely things I still miss about Czechia. Now I’m back in Portugal, and at the start of the year I bought a bike and started training seriously. We’re lucky to have so many great roads here with little to no traffic, perfect for riding, and I’ve been improving a lot.
I’ve been following your progress, another great video! Really inspiring to watch! I actually bought the same bike as you, and since I also train alone, it’s even more motivating to see what you’re doing.
