a few months ago I purchased a new Canyon Griz! 5, which was bought in Mai 2025, I got the receipt.
Since then I drove it with just one bottle cage. Now I wanted to install a second one and it will not fit because the cages are too close to each other. A friend has the same bike in Frame Size S, and he his bike has 3 holes on the downtupe, he has no problem to install both. Online you can also see 3 holes. Is this a manufacturing issue? I don't want to use any adapter plate…

I really don’t see how there is not enough room for two cages…
My girlfriend’s 2XS Grizl mounts two cages, I don’t see how an XS wouldn’t.
Mine, size S, also has extra holes. It’s possible they didn’t add extra holes to the XL because they assumed it’s already big enough and wouldn’t be a problem to fit 2 bottles.
Show us a picture where you’re trying to add two cages, I feel like that’s important and not included here
That middle hole on the seat tube is not for mounting it is securing did wires
