  1. COMPLAINT!!!

    September 2023
    Naples to Bari

We were supposed to catch the bus at 8:30 from Garibaldi Station to reach Bari by 12:00, but everything went horribly wrong:

    • Around 20:12, we received a message from FlixBus.
    • A delay of one hour and fifteen minutes was announced.
    • We departed at 9:45.
    • The bus driver remained completely silent without explaining what had happened.
    • It took 50 minutes to exit Naples.
    • After finally leaving the city, we encountered a roadblock at the BAIANO-AVELLINO toll booth, due to either an accident or roadwork.
    • The driver, who was unaware of this notice (although it was on Google Maps), started taking numerous detours and back roads through the Campania countryside.
    • At 23:15, we were still in the province of Naples.
    • At 23:30, the bus driver took a dark road, stopped in the middle of nowhere near a rest area, and got off without saying anything. All the passengers started getting scared because the only light, aside from the bus, came from inside a car where we could see some gestures but nothing else. After standing there for a good 15 minutes, another man got into the car, and they both drove off without saying a word on the microphone.
    • All of us passengers were alarmed and demanded an explanation, especially since the bus driver had started taking the opposite route.
    • The driver responded irritably and became nervous and agitated with his very first and only response during the entire trip.
    • We arrived in Puglia at 12:00, but another half-hour passed before we reached the town of Candela.
    • The driver, still mute, took a strange shortcut through the Candela countryside, making unnecessary U-turns and driving in the wrong direction.
    • Upon arrival (after unnecessary detours) at the Candela toll booth, it was once again blocked due to roadwork, and the driver completely lost his composure, claiming not to know anything, and arguing with the toll booth attendant who was verbally suggesting alternative routes (this roadblock was also marked on Google Maps).
    • We passed Cerignola and entered the Foggia highway, further prolonging the entire journey.
    • We never had a break.
    • The driver remained silent.
    • We arrived on Via Capruzzi (Bari) at 2:30 in the morning.
    • The driver continued to remain silent.
    • Over 5 hours of travel without a break.

(After explaining point by point, I would like to emphasize that paying 32 euros for a round trip ticket absolutely warrants a refund.)
