I wanna get back in to riding a bike. It’s been almost two decades, is this a trek a good choice?

Back when I rode I had an old trek from the 90s that my dad had given me. it was a hybrid style, so no front shocks or whatever and I loved it and rode the shit out of it. I want to stick with the same kind of bike from my younger days. I found this post of FB marketplace and the guy is asking $50, seems like some work needs to be done with it but I'm not trying to break the bank buying a new bike because I just bought a house! I just want something that I can hook a toddler trailer up to so I can drive my 2 year old around and she can have fun w/ her dad.
