Hi, I have a Canyon Grail CF SLX 8 with the internal seatpost wedge/clamp system. I uploaded a short video here: https://streamable.com/7cxi65 What happens every time when I loosen the seatpost clamp bolt: at first it loosens normally then it gets a bit easier then suddenly a bit tighter again then there is a loud click then easier again then slightly tighter again then a second loud click after that it loosens freely A few details: this happens only when loosening when tightening, it feels smooth torque spec is 5 Nm I tried 5 Nm and 4 Nm, same behavior I use carbon assembly paste I removed the seatpost before, visually it looks fine the saddle does not slip while riding I don’t have constant noise, though sometimes I may hear an occasional click the two clicks are always very repeatable My question: Does this sound like normal staged release / sticking of Canyon’s internal wedge system, or more like something that should be inspected further such as the wedge, bolt, washer, or frame interface? Would you keep riding it as-is if the saddle holds and there are no visible cracks?
