Hi all,
Last week I got my shiny new Canyon Endurance bike with Shimano Di2 105. This is my first time having wireless shifters and all works fine. Today I went for a nice 80km ride, all was smooth and great. At home I parked my bike like always (inside, on a hanger). I went out, and when I came back wanting to show my bike to someone I noticed the shifting was all screwed up suddenly. Horrible sound coming from the derailleur area with the chain getting half stuck on one of the cogs of the derailleur. I cannot basically shift from the middle cog, the chain is stuck and if I go up or down I fear the chain will jump from the derailleur cog. (I hope I am using the proper terms, I am a bit new to this)
I have had derailleur alignment issues with a previous back and after a lot of tinkering myself, my bikeshop told me that the issue was a bent hanger. That was explainable as I had a fall, but it meant replacing the derailleur. I for sure hope not the same issue is happening now. Might it be something with the wireless communication that is going wrong, or something else that I can easily fix?
Your help is much appreciated! I have attached some pictures. To me there is no obvious bent in the hanger but I don’t have a trained eye.
