I got the megneg and I quite like it. Fairly cheap and easy to try. Now I want to mullet the bike, but I’m concerned about drastic geometry changes.
Hello, I don’t own a Bronson but I just did the meg neg upgrade on my commencal with the base version rockshock (no resi) and it makes a huge difference in how it rides and opens up a world of tunability. Took me about three rides to get it dialed. I will say it feels a bit more like a coil shock but mainly the positives from that. You can run more sag without fear of bottoming if you are doing stuff within reason. And if you take the time to experiment with the bands and tokens it will give you a nice supple mid range or can offer more mid support depending on your preference.
For under 100$ it’s really good value imo.

Bronson v3 here. Mines a 2019 with the super deluxe that has no lockout (only rebound) adjustment. I was fighting that shock for awhile, and finally put a megneg on. It’s so much better. I used to lose all the plushness if I put enough air in to prevent bottom out, now it’s really plush with better ramp up.
I’m still not completely happy, it’s almost too plush and not playful enough. I think it’s just a tunning issue though. My bike is a do-it-all bike, so it’s tough to get the suspension to a point where there aren’t any compromises. I picked up a DJ to help me solve this dilemma!
Now I just need to sell the Bronson, get a DH bike and a trail bike and everything will be good 😉
