bought this specialized vado sl 2nd hand to find out the seat post was chopped and doesnt slide all the way in, not sure if the frane was like this or If I bent that part of the frame further from not knowing the seat post was messed with, the seat post itself looks crushed in as well, making it not slide further in the tube likely causing the slippage and not able to torque down properly.

this bike has a integrated wired tail light so it makes swapping the seat tube difficult too, id have to drop the motor on it, take the battery out and disconnect it just to remove the seat post to try and see if a new seat post would still hold with the wedge system.

ill likely do just that, but any ideas? the frame is Aluminum, will the space from the bent lip continue to cause the seat post to not torque down properly with this wedge system?

You probably just ovalized your seattube. The seatpost is also ruined. Get the longest post that will accommodate your saddle height. I’d probably replace the clamp/wedge cause that probably has some wear issues from the post rocking/being over extended.

    Then hope it works.

If it doesn’t you’ll probably want to make some shims out of a beer/soda can to fill the void you created behind the post.

You could still be fucked though.
