Day 2 of our UK bikepacking trip with our around the world bike-bag set up on. We cycled from Settle (Yorkshire) to Tebay (Lake District) a shorter day today so that we didn’t feel too tired for an evening talk we were hosting. Didn’t realise we were going up the Shap until just before it!

Front end wobble is probably weight distribution. Move weight back or forth to see if it improves.
Has Kyle checked his front axle is tight?

Hi, great stuff, really enjoy your adventures… Not sure if you posted the extra weight on the bike, must be a fair amount? I bike packed Lejog with my son sleeping in fields except for one night in Penrith for kit washing etc. Would be interested to compare what you are carrying weight wise…. All the best for your round the world 💕
You didn’t mention it but I could see the front wheel wobble at around 6.35. For anyone who has experienced that, they will know how disconcerting it is
It’s often caused by too much weight over the front wheel. Kyle has next to nothing causing that issue. Maybe it’s a warped disc or some calliper alignment issue.
I hope he gets it sorted before you set off. In fact…..it definitely must be sorted before you set off.

Remember cycling through the Shap in 1985 when my wife and I was cycling Lands End to John o’Groats it rained all day couldn’t see a thing though could hear the sheep in the valley I was 35 years old my wife 32 years that’s 41 years ago and we are still cycling together mostly on our tandem these days and still loving it cycling has given us a close bond as I’m sure you both are experiencing. I think on this trip you cycled through Abergavenny South Wales which is our home town would have loved to say hello.

I had the same problem with front wheel wobble – fixed by making sure both side panniers weighed the same

It’s not something you think of as a viewer, but I had a three hour ride yesterday and food tastes so good after a ride. Your sense of appreciation for the taste, smell and flavor is something else!

You can see Kyle wheel wobble around 6:30 that looks horrible. Can’t be a nice experience when cycling loaded at speed. Hopefully that can be sorted soon.
To sort front wheel wobble out you need to do opposite thing and put more weight on the front. Trust me, works a dream
