Tl;dr: How would you maximize cargo capacity on this ebike?
Looking for recommendations on how to turn my REI Gen E1.1 into a cargo hauler primarily for larger grocery runs but all errands in general, up to and including hauling a guitar with me at times (currently use a backpack case for that).
I've graduated off this bike onto a non-electrified commuter for my short work commutes, but I want this to retain its usefulness. I have some panniers, but they're only really good for small errands. I'd also love to support a smaller non-corporate business in the process, but if I have to shell-out for name brand I'd be happy to patronize my LBS as well.

A trailer will be your best option. Something low and sturdy. The motor will easily pull it back with a heavy haul.
The wonky frame will mean that you need to carefully consider attachment/mounting options.
itโs really easy and cheap to attach a big crate or rubbermaid container with heavy duty zip ties on the back – also in the front if you throw a rack on there. i personally have two milk crates (front and back) and also have a hitch for a burley trailer for moving bigger loads. the flat bed burly trailer is great and i found one on craigslist for half price ๐
This is the way
