Looking for some guidance on gyro sizes. Last summer I picked up a Salt Gyro kit with the intent of installing on my Haro Midway Freecoaster BMX but the gyro seems to be too small and rubs on the headset/frame.
What would be the best way to fix this? Are there larger/oversized gyros? Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Throw away the salt rotar, it’s very old tech and as you’ve found because it’s design is from literally over 25 years ago, and hasn’t been updated it doesn’t fit well with intergrated headsets. Get a cartridge sealed rotar like the fit/snafu/ even the salt+ geo rotar. These A – fit and B – work considerably better anyway.
Just FYI it’s upside down in the 2nd pic
Buy the Odyssey gtx s kit. It’s much better quality and should fit your headset and frame. It is also upside down in the pic. Sometimes you’ll need to change your headset cap or shorten your forks neck to make a gyro work well. I had some small issues on my Fly sion when I installed the gtx s kit. I had to use a different top cap and cut the neck on my F25 to make it work smoothly with a decent pull.
You need an upper plate and you need to flip it over. Oh, and gyro cables. You may be better off ordering a kit that includes everything. I actually bought a couple stems a long time ago that came with a matching upper gyro plate but I don’t think any ship like that anymore.
