Inspect from the inside. If the nylon casing is cut, put a tire boot on it.

If there is not cut casing, the there is no problem.

The treads have lots of life left in them. Just keep riding.

Glue it shut and use it as long as the glass has been removed, however it does look pretty old so might be a good time to think about new ones.

Hard to say from the close up pics though but it looks old to me.

  4. Me personally, that depends on how much wire was damaged. Stuff like 1/8″ nails are okay to retube, maybe a little bigger. If the wire damage is more than a quarter inch long, I’d replace the tire. Put a new tube in and inflate to normal pressure. If it bulges, definitely replace.

It depends on who you ask. Replacing is almost never a bad idea.

Ride it. A hole is only a death sentence if it is a see through, as then the air chamber will create a bump over the hole and puncture very easily. If you want to reinforce it, glue a patch on the inside.
