Hi! Im wondering if a bike for sale is a decent way to go forward. Ive come from the mountain biking world and have been interested in going farther for fitness and trips.
Tried road biking, liked the distance part but found just pavement boring. Where I live there is ample gravel roads and rail rails and would love to get into doing long multi day trips. With a kid, life and other interests my budget is fairly limited about 500cdn. I understand thats limiting. Eventually Ill just ride something.
I came across a 2015 Jamis Nova Sport. 58 cm (ish) frame according to the seller. (Im 5'11")
The bike pictured is currently listed for 500 cdn. Is this a fair price? I understand it was a decent but entry level bike at the time of its release.
Does this bike look like the way to go with what I want to do?

Probably pretty limited tyre clearance compared to a modern gravel bike. And at 5’11 I’d generally want a 56cm frame I think, I’m 6′ and I can ride both but definitely at the lower end for most 58s. Of course, geometry is a bit more complicated than that and people’s proportions can vary a lot too.
