To be honest, this is a hard question for the internet to answer since we don’t know your financial standing or desire for this bike.
From a value comparison perspective, this doesn’t seem like it should be worth more than $700 USD given what I’m seeing sold on CL and eBay. It’s a dated design without support for disk brakes or wider tubeless tires. It’ll only be of interest to folks who want a retro bike and possibly those who think this is collectible?
If you really do want that retro ride experience, there’s nothing wrong with that! Older mechanical parts can be fun, if that’s what you want. But, for $1600, this better be a “unicorn” bike for you. Is it?
