I’m a very casual road and sometimes trail rider, I’m 5’4 and 145 pounds and this is what was recommended to me at the used bike shop. I have very little knowledge about bikes, but it sounds like a hybrid might be best for me.
At 5’4 I think you’d be better off on a smaller frame, probably around 15″.
If you don’t want a mountain bike then you’re almost always better off without suspension at the front, it just adds some weight and complexity for no real benefit.
Purely price wise it wouldn’t be a terrible deal, especially if the shop checks them over and offers some kind of after sales support. But I just wouldn’t get a bike if it’s too big for you.
