Hello everyone. I want to upgrade from my old bike. I mostly ride pavement and light gravel (for commuting) and hit singletracks on weekends. My current options are the Ozark Trail Ridge Pro and the new Polygon Xtrada 6. The ridge is around $600 and the xtrada is $900. The xtrada comes with better components for it's price but the ridge gives me a certain degree of freedom for upgrades. Please help me decide. Thank you.

Just went through this debate. Went with the OTRP. So far its been a great bike. Brakes are remarkable. Feont susp too. Dropper took some work but had it together and trail ready in 30min.
OTR Pro hands down.
Plus you’ll have enough money left over to buy Polygon stickers for the frame.

I have an xtrada 7 hardtail. It’s fun bike, I actually use it mostly for street and light trail riding. I also have an Ozark Trail TS3. Both of those have air front forks. I think that those are trail actually has a little slacker geometry, which will give you just a little more confidence on trails.
Seth from Berm Peak or express one of his channels he did a vs check it out. M2 PRO gets my vote as well.
