After a 4 month break I got my bike for the first time this year to inspect it before riding. . The seat stays of the bike cracked almost halfway, it's dangerous to even sit on. I'm sure the crack wasn't there when I last rode it. Has anyone else had this happen?
Yes, I have already contacted the store for warranty.

Who rode your bike during your break and what did they do with it?
I’ve seen that on a X-Caliber/Roscoe frame. Same spot. It was 2021 if I remember correctly.
At least trek has lifetime warranty on the frame right?

Yeah, that is not terribly uncommon in terms of a crack at the weld. Truck will get into a new frame asap.
Omg! That is incredibly brutal. Unless you know a welder (specialized in fragile metals) that poor bike is undoubtedly f-ed for good. I feel so bad for you.
Of course first step is warranty, not sure how long you’ve had it, the other is whether or not it was the tuneup shop. But good luck proving that. Damn!😞
