Fork tuning. Is it possible to make it softer? Change the spring or anything else that will make it work at all? Atm its stiff under kids weight. SR suntour M3010 fork.

If theres no preload no. Youd need a m3030 which a suspension fork on most lower end kids bikes is almost for smashing off a curb or big hits. May lower the front tire pressure down to help.
Long ago in the dark ages i used to get this issue occasionally though the workshop.
Some of the forks had two springs. Would remove one completely or swap out with something from the box o bits that was lighter
