I found it on the floor close to my road bike, but what is it, and where does it go? Is it a pulley? Not necessarily bike related, but not unlikely.. I have a Shimano 105 R7000 groupset

I don’t think that’s off a bike. The only thing close would be how they used to route a bottom pull front mech to a top pull frame.

If you have MTB it looks like a suspension lockout or dropper post spool.
