I was able to squeak in one of my first outdoor rides the other day, after a brutal winter full of cold and snow. Over the last 3 years of riding, I feel like I'm exiting winter in the best shape of these 3 years, but not where I would like to be.
With that said, I recently added 2.25 Thunder Burts to the seigla. I was optimistic about the whole wider is better movement, but after this first ride I'm now drinking the kool-aid. And wondering how much wider I can go.
This ride collected 14 new PR's, and it was my first gravel of the season. And these conditions were gross. Sloppy wet, snowmelt and warm "tunafish" roads.
Running these 2.25 Schwalbe Thunder Burt at 25psi, tubeless. Very impressed so far. In case you've been on the fence, go for it.
I was running 45mm Schwalbe GS one pro rs previously. Fast tires and a mix of about 50/50 gravel/country road.

That color looks great!!
I’m installing thunderburts on my MOG tomorrow, hoping they will fit with decent clearance. Going to try some events were these tires will help a lot.
I’ve been running crazy low pressures too, try out 18-19 PSI if you are on the lighter side, it’s wild.
Love the blue! I went with a White Seigla to save a bit of money, but the blue was my top choice. Being able to comfortably run 2.25 Thunder Burts is one of the main reasons I got the bike.
