    You can play with different spacer sizes if you want a precise 130 mm but bending the frame 1 or 2 mm won’t damage it. I wouldn’t touch it if it’s turning smoothly

  2. When you think about it, the exact OLD on a traditional cup-and-cone hub can vary by simply adjusting the preload. Within 1mm is very much within tolerance; up to 2mm is probably still fine for use with >99% of bike frames.

  3. Once everything compresses that’s 130 on the nose. Unrelated but I always liked the steel frames like the Crosscheck that had 132.5mm dropouts to handle both MTB and road hubs. Don’t over think it.

  4. Cup & Cone hubs will do this, basically each side is off by 0.5mm. If you’re anal retentive you can file down the spacers by 0.25-0.4mm each side. Just make sure that the cassette lock ring has enough clearance on the frame before you start. You will/should double check the dish after. You can also just keep riding the wheel knowing there won’t be any issue
