I live in Sweden and I’ve always waited until mid may to start cycling because that’s when they clear all the gravel from the roads usually. Anyway, this year I’d figure I’d fit some gravel tires on and start cycling in mars/april. I just wanna confirm I’m not doing something really stupid in any sense: am I an idiot for putting these tires on my Endurace? Should I have bought some other tires?

  1. The Endurace Allroad comes with tires very similar to this (35mm gravel tires) as standard, you’re fine. Whether you’re crazy or not… let the doctors decide!

EDIT: Turns out the clearance on the Endurace CF7 is 5mm less, but as long as your tires aren’t rubbing against the frame or anything

  2. I just bought my Endurace, but I was thinking about something like this as an option in case I wanted to gravel ride. You seem sane to me.

  3. Should be fine, im running 38s on the same frame. I had the AL before and fitted 40s on them with no problem. Cykla på

Nope, a mate (also in Sweden) has an older Endurace that he uses for gravel racing. Has either 38mm semi slicks for dry events and a couple of other options in progressively smaller sizes and more aggressive tread.

  5. IMO The Endurace has some characteristics of a light gravel bike, so no.

One thing you can do is slam the frontend (shorter stem/reach) for a more upright off road position but since you’re on actual roads I don’t think that’s the way to go.

  6. Why? If you want to do gravel, now you can. Never realized how much that frame looks like my Grizl. I wonder if it’s not the same…

  7. While you are checking in to the psych ward, I’ll take your bike to dispose of it properly 😉
