  1. The point is to check off a box that some bureaucrat was told they needed to check.

  2. For bikes? So they’re not in the vehicular road and not on the sidewalk. It even has a buffer zone which is more than I can say for other places. The road is too narrow for two car lanes anyway, so why are you complaining about a bike lane?

    It seems this area doesn’t expect much parking traffic. Suburbs likely have parking inside anyway. This is probably for overflow which will seldom happen.

    Just b/c it’s not perfect for bikes in all situations doesn’t mean that not having at all we be better.

  3. Plenty of space for parking in the long driveways on this road. Absolutely no reason to permit parking on the road.
