Started cycling for trail-running cross training and fell straight into the rabbit hole. Living in a small apartment, I wanted one bike to cover road and gravel instead of going full N+1.
Went with a race gravel bike + two wheelsets:
Rose Backroad FF (M)
- 7.8 kg road / 8.6 kg gravel
- GRX 825 Di2 (48/31, 11–34)
- 4iiii power meter
- Narrow cockpit: 34 cm hoods / 42 cm drops
Gravel Setup:
- Rose GC50 wheels
- Schwalbe G-One RS 40 mm
Road:
- Rose 9Velo GV 2.0 wheels
- GP5000 S TR 30/32 mm
Also running Fidlock bottles + a bolt-on Rose frame bag.
First ride impressions: stiff, lively, and surprisingly fast on road for a gravel bike.
Hope this helps someone thinking of running a similar setup.
