On my brand new canyon endurance cf7 only on my fourth ride after getting it brand new the chain popped off about 15 seconds after clipping in, I shifted gears while riding on flat and smooth ground. When I shifted, the chain unexpectedly dropped off the inner chainring toward the frame and immediately wedged between the chainring and the frame near the bottom bracket. The chain jammed instantly and locked the pedals. Just curious if anyone else had this issue with their canyon bikes

It dug into the frame pretty badly it’s a little hard to see all the damage in the one picture
I’ve had it happen on a lot of bikes but never my canyon. Keep the derailleur adjusted and double check your limit screw.
I’d take the crank off to avoid any more damage trying to get the chain out, and to be able to inspect it.
Often times, this occurs as a result of poor adjustment, a loose front derailleur, or a poor shift well before the event causing a bent tooth or a twisted chain that didn’t cause an issue until you provided a scenario that was just right to allow the problem to show itself in a bad way. It could even be poor lubrication, I know you said it only has 4 rides but under what conditions were these rides? Your bike looks like it was ridden in conditions that would justify a gravel bike which would inherently have a clutch type derailleur that keeps the chain more stable in rough conditions.
You need a K-Edge Chain Catcher. Like seriously. Look it up.
