I’m considering buying a Trek Verve+ 1 e-bike on Marketplace and wanted to get some opinions.
The seller is asking $1,000. He mentioned it came from a rental fleet last year, but says the bike has less than 200 miles on it.
A few questions:
• Does $1k sound like a good deal for this bike?
• Is the 250Wh battery too small in real-world use?
• Should I be worried since it was part of a rental fleet?
• Anything specific I should check when inspecting a used e-bike?
Would appreciate any advice!

I would be concerned about it being a rental and what implications that has had on the electronics. Like activation/locking/imobiliser etc. And also the condition of the battery.
Just connect the bike to the trek central app and it will tell you how far it has gone. At least with the assist active.
