🔹 Teaching language for most degree programmes is German. A strong command of German *C1/C2* is essential.

🔹 Studienkolleg and the assessment exam *Feststellungsprüfung* may be required if your secondary school qualification does not grant direct admission.
🔹 Preparatory German *DSH* helps reach the required level. Check recognised certificates.
🔹 Application logistics vary by programme and intake. Always follow official instructions for documents and timelines.

🔸 *Buddy Programme*
🔹 Volunteer FAU students help internationals with everyday matters and settling in (city orientation, buying a bike, organising trips, practical tips). Buddies are not official advisors.

🔸 *Students Welcome (for refugees)*
🔹 Guidance on ways into studying and German courses.
🔹 For a consultation you need *B2* in German or English and a basic document set (CV without gaps, school certificate and transcripts with certified translations, refugee residence permit with supplement, passport copy if available, target programme).
