    It’s an interesting idea. Good on you for getting a prototype going. What’s it like when pedaling out of the saddle up a climb?

    Must admit my initial thought is that I would prefer to do what others have done with the two bottle cages mounted at 45 degrees out from under the downtube.

    The Curve GMX+ even comes with the frame drilled for exactly this purpose, but it is not too hard to make work with many bikes using universal support bolts or similar. Doesn’t require modifying the frame.

    I’ll admit you have to reach down a little further to get your water but the leg clearance will be better.

  2. Your legs are for sure going to rub when climbing out of the saddle, but I like where you head’s at.

    Also, on future projects, you might consider doing a lace-up top tube. They’re a lot easier to get everything snugged up nicely than what you’ve got going there.
