  1. I'm glad he's okay, but all seriousness aside, did he remake the hospital kitchen and menu? I suspect eating hospital food was worse than the pain for him.

  2. Yes, I used chat gpt.

In June 2024, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay experienced a severe cycling accident in Connecticut that left him with significant injuries and a renewed commitment to promoting helmet safety.

While riding his bike, Ramsay hit a “crater-like pothole,” causing his bicycle to spin 180 degrees and ejecting him into the air. The impact was so forceful that his helmet cracked in half. Despite the severity of the crash, Ramsay did not suffer any broken bones, but he was left with a massive purple bruise covering nearly half of his torso and experienced blurred vision and bleeding.

Ramsay managed to call his assistant, who directed an ambulance to his location. He was transported to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London, where he received care from trauma surgeons, doctors, and nurses. His recovery involved daily lymphatic drainage treatments and physiotherapy.

In a heartfelt message shared on social media ahead of Father’s Day, Ramsay emphasized the importance of wearing a helmet, stating, “I don’t care how short the journey is…they’ve got to wear a helmet.” He credited his helmet with saving his life and urged others to prioritize safety while cycling.

By the end of 2024, Ramsay reported that his injuries had healed and reflected on the incident as a life-changing experience. He resumed his active lifestyle, including training for an Ironman Triathlon, demonstrating resilience and a commitment to fitness.

Ramsay’s accident serves as a stark reminder of the unpredictability of accidents and the critical role of safety gear. His advocacy for helmet use underscores the importance of taking precautions, no matter how routine the activity may seem.

  3. I'll never understand the news' need to put everything in quotes. Some cases it makes sense, with hyper opinionated things ig. But then you have things like this, "lucky to be alive" who is that subjective to? People who wanna be isekai'd??

  4. Gordon Ramsay gets wheeled down to the hospital cafeteria, forces his way behind the counter, and berates the staff.

    I can see it now…

Jokes aside, glad you weren’t permanently hurt, Chef.

  5. Had something similar like this as a young kid. Bike hit a big rock, I fell, and my body managed to get intertwined in the frame of the bike. Had to stumble back home as my torso became a different ethnicity, because my parents wouldn't come help even though I was only like a road away. Lol
