A bike is what you make it, regardless of components. That’s not what my gravel bike looks like, but that doesn’t matter.
But that saddle angle is awful looking. My butt hurts

Tiagra is whatever but that saddle angle is probably destroying your wrists tho

Yeah sure. I had sora on mine and it shifts great. Chain slaps around but nothing a chainstay wrap can’t solve

I put 3k miles on a hybrid using Tiagra components, no issues when properly maintained.

Yes up until most recently. Now they are all releasing more gravel specific groups. I have CUES 2X and it works really really well!

It’s fine, it’ll do the job. Ideally when you ride off of pavement you’d have a clutched derailleur. But ride what you’ve got!

I moved from Tiagra to GRX 610. I miss Tiagra.

FWIW I think that’s more of an endurance/all-road than a gravel bike anyway.

Yea I have Tiagra 2×10 on my Warbird. I hate the 2x, but shifts great and doesn’t drop chains on me, even in blue singletrack territory. No clutch makes those type of days a bit sketch though.
I’ll upgrade it to a 1x whenever the next thing breaks, but it gets plenty of use on all the big iconic climbs here around Colorado. People here politely saying it’s lower tier probably don’t ride half of what I do with it, so yea dog, it’s more than fine.
It was also pretty common on early gravel builds, like 2019 era before GRX came around.

It’s fine, the main difference is going to be in gearing options. My Sora gravel bike could run a 11-36 on the back with a 46/30 up front, plenty of gear range

My gravel bike has got Sora on it, was very common to see the lower tier road groupsets on gravel bikes before GRX came out, and even for a while after it did some of the components still had their road branding on them.
The likely main difference will be the cassette, my Sora bike for example has an 11-34T Alivio cassette on it which is lower geared than most Sora cassettes.

Must be exhausting having to stop yourself from sliding off the bike
