  1. Hey Davy could you do a video about the south Wexford ira brigade the only reason why Iโ€™m asking is because I think my great grandfather was in that brigade around the areas of Bridgetown, Murrintown, kilnick, and surrounding area if you are looking for information I would look in at Wexford library

  3. Nice one Davey. I'm only 4 miles from borrisokane. Know this spot well. Still family of those men living in the area. Tans didn't get it all their own way around Tipperary.

  4. Excellent video ๐Ÿ“น Davy.
Was Seamus Robinson present, I believe Ernie O' Malley covers this ambush in one of his books ๐Ÿ“š. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

  5. I'm a South African living in Ireland totally in awe of Irish history. Would it be ok for me to wear those shorts without being Irish and having no Irish ancestry?

  6. Ya ,but what resulted in that conflict was a truce and a settlement that part of ireland ,,,6 counties, would remain british ,ya nice Jersey but I don't have the heart to fully support it, those people let the North Ireland people down, we are still fighting! Now you would call those people still fighting,,terrorist, my god, shame on you

  7. Love the tree for three. People on some Caribbean Islands have the same accent. Was behind an old woman in a checkout line from I believe Trinidad or Barbados speaking exactly like my old Irish grandma used to speak.

  8. I love this, I'm actually passing through Borrisokane today. This trip will feel different I think I'll take a little detour.
What courage, determination and dedication of our flying columns. You do their memory justice. Thank you.

  9. Thank you for these amazing videos. My grandmother Gorman grew up in Coolmuinga, Clare. My grandfather Murphy grew up in Monamolin, Wexford. There were so many stories about what they encountered, resisted, endured, etc. They immigrated in the 1930โ€™s. While I am grateful for all that my grandparents gave up, I know that I donโ€™t know enough about their hardships or what they survived. If you ever care to share what you learn about the history for either town/county at some point, Iโ€™d be ever so grateful. Thank you for the marvelous videos! All the best. Most sincerely. Thank you.
