I'm rebuilding an 1990's mountain bike with short travel rear suspension. The original bushing, if you can call it that, was completely shot. The bike is an Apollo Everest (the Australian version) – also sold as the Muddy Fox Rock'n'Roll (US) and the Kuwahara Savage TS2000 (North America and Europe).
In this video, I'm muddling through the fabrication and installation of some replacement bushes, using Cane Creek Thudbuster suspension seatpost elastomer rubber as a starting point.
Note: This is very long, as there is a lot of thinking aloud, general mucking about and a bunch of dead ends being explored 🙂
Enjoy #fixedmindset
