I ordered Ass Savers for both my bike (pictured) and my wife's Super X. Both bikes have dropped seat stays, which I honestly forgot about when purchasing.
Unless I'm doing something wrong, this is how I have to install the fender. But now I'm concerned because the ones pictured on Ass Saver's site are all significantly further back.
Think this set up will offer adequate protection? Or am I out of luck?

Should be fine, not ideal but as good as your gonna get with that design. Maybe a Fendor Bendor would work better for your bike? Though it might also be more likely to rotate when you don’t want it to
It looks like you’re still going to be getting some spray in that position. I don’t think your frame is going to let you get it any further back so there’s still going to be a lot of tire real estate spraying past it.
The type of fenders that clamp to the seat post might be a better option, given the dropped seat stays on your frames
It’s as good as you’re going to get and almost better than nothing.
The best place for a win wing is placed gently in the garbage. This is a close second.
I have been using one for a couple years, they are fine for what they are. They protect you and your bike from some road water in exchange for the ability to quickly install or quickly remove it.
You have it installed correctly.
I use this on, pretty effective. Try to put it more on the rear.
I own a topstone and have this fender as well. Unfortunately the fender isn’t long enough and the seat stays are too low so you end up getting sprayed.
slide it up towards the seat tube and it will flare up more
I use the one that attaches to the seatpost
I [tilt them down a bit](https://imgur.com/a/f5uZTKI). Mostly for optics, I guess.
Looks too short to protect you a 100%. I’d perfer a Mudhugger, but it seems, there is no variant for gravel and that angle of the seat stays.
