Just finished this up today. It's been in progress for a few weeks. I had some spare 10 speed parts and decided to do a 1×10 Deore setup. 32t front, 11-34 cassette. Deore vbrakes. Velo Orange tourist bars, stem and quill adapter. Brooks saddle. Iwai Shokai Cork Grips. Sealed them with Odies oil.
Maxxis Ardent 26×2.4" tires. Almost went with some smaller tanwalls but decided to try and dish the wheel perfectly and these just barely fit. I really like how these ride. They're pretty quiet, roll well.

The outlook was my first MTB! I threw a rockshox indy and ritchey zmax tires on there and rode the shit out of it. I miss that bike. I remember giving it to a friend who moved to Boulder so maybe it’s still kicking around there.
